SiTC Episode 19: Tennessee’s Zero Waste Day
October 27, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm CDT
Free
An average Nashvillian throws away a whopping 6.56 pounds of trash per day, nearly 2 pounds more than the national average! Though we want our city to lead in many things, waste creation shouldn’t be one of them. Join us on Tennessee’s 2nd annual Zero Waste Day as we speak with the Tennessee Department of Environmental Conservation (TDEC) about the importance of reducing our waste, reusing what we already have, and rethinking what we consider waste in the first place.
Special Guest Speaker:
Kelsey Davis,
Environmental Consultant,
Office of Policy and Sustainable Practices,
TN Department of Environment and Conservation
This event is free and open to the public. Registration required to view live.
